Ashby Shoal Breakfast 6 am to 12 pm
The date is not chosen yet for Cal Sailing Club's next Ashby Shoal Breakfast. Ashby Shoal is a sandbar about 1/2 mile south of the club that emerges when the tide drops below -1.0 ft MLLW.
CSC members sail the club's fleet of dinghies, keelboats, windsurfers, and motorboats out to the sandbar just before it emerges, prepare breakfast and sail around the sandbar, and sail back to the club as the sandbar disappears below the waves.
Meet at the club by 6 am if you want to sail out to the island. Late arrivals can beg a ride with the dragon boats or kayakers leaving from the harbor--the dock next to the clubhouse will be sitting on mud from 7:30 am to 10:30 am.
